Brook Bend prides themselves on selecting and breeding only the highest of quality individuals. We welcome you to come and see for yourself our incredible broodmare band, many having already produced world champion show horses &/or won in the show ring themselves.

We love to watch broodmares trotting “well above level” with long, hooked-up necks, snorting attitudes and plenty of go-forward! While ability and show record is certainly the key, we focus on the dam’s side to insure a show horse producing heritage.

Here is a list of our current broodmares, we offer top prospects and embryo transfers from many of these wonderful broodmares.

“Steal The Day” is a black, long-necked mare over 16 hands and truly defines trotting well above level! Sired by WC Sultan’s Great Day and out of the 5-gaited stakes winner Steal The Show by WGC Sire Jamestown, 2nd Dam Stonewall’s Dancing Lady by WGC Sire Starheart Stonewall. This mare was injured as a yearling at Dupree Farms, so she was not shown. Her sister I’m Truly Scrumptious was shown by Jerry Hutson to many wins in 3-gaited park and Stonewall’s Dancing Lady is the dam of stakes winner CH Red Oak’s Imagination. She is the dam of the successful 3-gaited Daytime Commander, Lombard Street who is one of the nicest prospects we ever sold and she had a beautiful black colt by RWC VHF The Licorice Drop Kid in 2006. This mare is in foal to Blythewood’s young black fine harness WC At Night, needless to say we are very excited!

“CF Magical Night Out” is a beautiful young daughter of WC Sire RWC CF First Night Out who lists CF Maytime Magic by WGC CH Yorktown as her dam. She is absolutely gorgeous and long-necked with a lot of quality to her 16+ hand physic. She was leased early on by Belle Reve Farm for breeding to WC Sire Revival, resulting in the young Park Pleasure horse Night Revival, she has also had top 2yr old 5-gaited colt by Attaché’s Royal Asset. Her 2006 colt by Born Contender is extremely long necked and hinged with the most perfect headset! She is back to Born Contender for a 2008 foal.
 

“Polished” is a recent acquisition to the broodmare band by WGC Sire Longview’s Paladin out of WC Santana Secret by WGC Sultan’s Santana out of the line bred Anacacho Denmark Broodmare Hall of Fame Emilyn Denmark. This mare was originally purchased as a top dollar prospect due to her extreme motion and snorty go-forward attitude! She is extremely gifted off all four corners and while she proved to be a little too much to handle in the show ring. She should prove to be a grand addition to our broodmare band, as Longview Paladin daughters are proving to be the dams of multiple recent WC’s. She is in foal to VHF The Licorice Drop Kid for an early 2008 foal.

“I’m Perfect Too” is one prolific mare that needs no introduction… She is by WGC Sire Storm’s Fury out of the legendary Evening Sea TM by WGC CH Yorktown who produced WGC Perfect Prowler and countless WCs; she is also a full sister to multiple WC Lex Town TM & Broodmare Hall of Fame Town Flower who produced multiple WC’s for Callaway Hills Stable. I’m Perfect Too was shown to countless 5-gaited championships and top Louisville ribbons by Frank McConnell, she is the dam of Really Perfect shown to many 5-gaited & 3-gaited wins by Nelson Green, dam of the gorgeous & gifted 5-gaited winner Absolutely Perfect shown by Peter Palmer. We own The Perfect Wave who is being gaited and looks to be a top prospect by Ocean’s Roar. She has also produced the top 2 yr old Born Perfect by Born Contender who is doing extremely well under saddle with Holly Tree Stables.

“A Dramatic Event” is also one of the great gals of Brook Bend; she is by WGC Sire Stonewall’s Main Even out of Magic Man’s Flame by WC Sire Mr. Magic Man out of the Broodmare Hall of Fame Highpoint Flame by WGC Sire Starheart Stonewall. She is the dam of RWC Sultan’s Black Gold and RWC Callaway’s Emancipation, both very successful show horses. She is also the dam of Foolish Event PV who is the dam of Don Harris’s Junior 5-gaited Travel In Style. We have a yearling by Santana Safari who is the sire of Travel In Style out of Dramatic that appears most promising, especially beautiful & limber legged! While we do not breed this mare due to age, she is available for embryo transfers.

“African Dixie” is a young big-motioned mare by WGC Zovoorbij Commander In Chief out of our Steal The Day by WC Sultan’s Great Day. She was worked as a young mare, but is extremely game and so talented we retained her for breeding purposes. This appears to be a great decision as her first foal is Springerlee by RWC VHF The Licorice Drop Kid who won the Carolina Futurity Amateur Weanlings in 2006 and again in 2007 won the Carolina Futurity Amateur Yearling Championship.  This colt is destined to be a good one, as he trots so well off both ends and has a beautiful hinge! She is back in foal to Born Contender for a 2008 foal.

“On The Firing Line” is a young, big, game mare who joins us from the legendary Blythewood Farms breeding program. She is by WC Sire Harrodsburg out of Line of Fire by WC Sire Fire Lane. She is the dam of multiple young show horses including the 3-gaited mare Supreme Dixie Chick, 5-gaited High Shootin’ Son Of A Gun, the young 5-gaited Brattonsville and the spectacular filly Petite Sirah by Bakchos. We are anxiously awaiting the fully sibling to Petite Sirah in 2007. She is bred to Bakchos for a 2008 foal. On The Firing Line has proven to produce top show horses when crossed to multiple sires and is a true “tank” of a mare!


SOLD “My Genius’ Kolada Kahlua” is a beautiful daughter of WGC Sultan’s Santana out of Kahlua Kolada by WGC Sire CH Kourageous Kalu, 2nd dam WC Denmark’s Spitfire by WGC Sire Oman’s Desdemona Denmark. Congratulations to Kelle Grimm of Riverwind Stables in Newburgh, IN on her selection of this gifted mare!
 

“Only Make Believe” was a much sought after broodmare that we are pleased to welcome to our broodmare band. She is by WGC Sire Jamestown out of the legendary 3-gaited 3-time WC & RWGC Beverly’s Sweet Someone by Stonewall’s Society (By Society Rex). She is a ¾ sister to the dam of our breeding stallion Born Contender. While only beginning her breeding career, she is a big, stretchy, long-necked mare with a lot of attitude & great big motion, much like her sister My Yorkshire Rose. This mare is heavy in foal for an early 2008 Bakchos baby!

SOLD “Four-Star Lady” is  by WGC Sire Merchant Prince out of Adorn by WGC Foxfire’s Prophet, 2nd Dam is the extremely talented fine harness mare WGC Vanity’s Showcase.
